Bombardier Unveils New Line Maintenance Station in Farnborough

Bombardier announced the introduction of a new line maintenance station at the Farnborough International Airport (FAB) on the first day of the Farnborough International Airshow. This exciting new maintenance station will significantly increase the company's footprint across Europe as part of its expansion efforts.

The new facility at Farnborough International Airport will be Bombardier's ninth line maintenance station worldwide. These stations provide quick maintenance and will also offer aircraft on ground (AOG) support for nearby aircraft. Each facility has trained technicians capable of working on any Bombardier, including support for the Bombardier Global family, the Bombardier Challenger family, and Learjet.

The Executive Vice President of Aftermarket Services & Strategy for Bombardier, Paul Sislian, stated, "The addition of the Farnborough Line Maintenance Station is an integral part of our overall mission to provide easy and enhanced OEM support for our customers in this very important region. We are delighted to demonstrate once again our commitment to offering the most elevated experience, providing more resources and increased flexibility to our clients, closer to their base of operations."

This maintenance facility is intended to aid Bombardier customers in Europe, focusing on the United Kingdom. Additionally, it will support clients throughout the continent and assist in maintaining current infrastructure.

Bombardier already has a strong presence throughout Europe, and maintenance facilities have been established to support an ever-growing fleet of jets, including ten existing service centres and 35 mobile response team (MRT) units globally.

Bombardier's London facility, the London Biggin Hill Service Center, has undergone recent renovations and now spans 250,000 square feet across two stories, featuring 22 service bays for an expansive range of maintenance capabilities.

Its Berlin service centre, based at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), spreads over 160,000 square feet and has been providing services to customers since 1977.

Brookfield Aviation International believes that Bombardier's announcement of a new line maintenance station at FAB spotlights the company's commitment to expanding its European footprint and sets the standard for exceptional aftermarket care in the industry.
