Shuttleworth and Aero Legends have recently announced that they will be teaming up to bring the vintage flight experiences offered by Aero Legends to the aerodrome of Shuttleworth, located in Old Warden in the Central Bedfordshire district. The services under the partnership will commence in May of this year.

Aero Legends has built themselves a reputation as a leading provider of premium historical aircraft experiences. They have enabled many aviation enthusiasts to experience flight in meticulously restored and maintained historic military aircraft. Their expanding fleet of heritage aircraft is the most diverse in the UK at the moment, and their line-up also includes the famous Spitfire.

Shuttleworth has a fully operational historical airfield and an internationally acclaimed collection of aircraft dating as far back as 1909. Along with aircraft, they have other historic vehicles, including buses and heritage exhibits. Additionally, they have a stunning nine-acre Regency Garden, Shuttleworth House, a Victorian mansion, and a popular café open to visitors year-round.

With the announcement of this partnership, aircraft enthusiasts can now have the opportunity to fly the two-seater variant of the spitfire as well as a T6 Havard. Before the experience begins, there will be a comprehensive pre-flight briefing. Guests will then take to the skies in the historic aircraft available featuring exhilarating aerobatic maneuvers in unrestricted airspace. There is no limit on guest numbers for spectators, who can enjoy watching the flights while taking advantage of Shuttleworth’s on-site attractions. Flight participants will also receive a souvenir pack, including a flight certificate and aircraft patch, to commemorate their experience.

Benjamin Parks, the managing director of Aero Legends, expressed his excitement about the joint venture. He mentioned that this will be the fourth location from where their historical aircraft can be accessed for flights.
